The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) announced the Class 10 results today. The number of students who passed this year is 93.66 percent. This is a little higher than last year, when 93.60 percent of students passed. Besides the official websites, students can also check their CBSE Class 10th Result 2025 on other platforms. These include DigiLocker, the Umang mobile app, and even through a phone system called IVRS. This gives students many ways to see their scores.
The CBSE Class 10 board exams for 2025 were held from February 15 to March 18, 2025. The exams were taken using pen and paper. This year, a large number of students, 24.12 lakh, took the CBSE Class 10 exams in 84 different subjects.
Last year, the CBSE announced the Class 10 results on May 13. The Class 10 board exams in 2024 were held from February 15 to March 13. In 2023, the results came out even earlier, on May 12.
In the 2024 CBSE Class 10th board exams, a total of 2,238,827 students appeared. The overall pass rate was 93.60 percent, which was a small increase of 0.48 percent from 2023. More than 47,000 students scored above 95 percent, and over 2 lakh students scored above 90 percent. In total, 20.9 lakh students passed the CBSE Class 10 exams last year. Girls did better than boys, with a pass rate of 94.75 percent.

Number of Students Who Scored Very High Marks in CBSE Class 10th Result 2025
A total of 45,516 students scored 95 percent or higher in the CBSE Class 10 exams. In the category for students with special needs (CWSN), 66 students also scored 95 percent or higher in the Class 10 CBSE exams 2025. This is great news and shows the hard work of these students.
How Different Regions Performed in CBSE Class 10th Result 2025
Looking at different parts of the country, Vijayawada had the highest pass rate, with an amazing 99.60 percent. Trivandrum was next with 99.32 percent. Chennai had a good pass rate of 97.39 percent. Bengaluru and Delhi West also did well, with pass rates of 95.95 percent and 95.37 percent respectively. This shows that students in different areas have performed well.
More Schools and Exam Centers for CBSE Exams in 2025
In 2025, more schools participated in the CBSE Class 12 examinations. The number went up to 19,299 schools, from 18,417 in 2024. Similarly, the number of exam centers also increased to 7,330 in 2025, from 7,126 last year. This means that the CBSE exams are reaching more students across the country.
Overall Pass Rate and High Scorers in CBSE Class 12 Exams 2025
For the CBSE Class 12 exams in 2025, 1,704,367 students registered. Out of these, 1,692,794 students took the exams, and 1,496,307 students passed. The overall pass rate for Class 12 was 88.39 percent. This is a slight improvement from 2024, when 87.98 percent of students passed the exams. Also, more than 1.11 lakh students scored above 90 percent in the Class 12 exams. A report from Hindustan Times says that 24,867 students scored above 95% in the Class 12 exams this year.

How Students with Special Needs Performed in CBSE Class 10th Result 2025
Out of the 9,248 students with special needs who registered for the CBSE Class 10 exams in 2025, 9,160 students appeared. Of these, 8,795 students passed, which is a pass rate of 96.02 percent. This shows that these students have also worked very hard and achieved great results.
Many Students Scored Very High Marks in CBSE Class 10th Result 2025
As mentioned earlier, a large number of students, 45,516, scored 95 percent or higher in the CBSE Class 10th Result 2025. In the CWSN category, 66 students also achieved this high level of marks.
Even More Students Scored High Marks in CBSE Class 10th Result 2025
Even more students, 199,944 in total, passed the CBSE Class 10 exams with scores of 90 percent and above. In the CWSN category, 411 students also scored 90 percent or higher. This shows the overall good performance of students in the CBSE Class 10th Result 2025.
After the results are announced, the board will hold extra exams for students who did not pass in some subjects. Also, if students are not happy with their marks, they can ask for their marks to be checked again or try to improve their result. The main reason for board exams is to see how much students have learned during the school year. If a student scores 33 percent marks, they are considered to have passed.
